About Alice Betsy Stone
Alice “Betsy” retired from AT&T after 27 years and is now retired from the insurance industry where she focused on selling supplemental products with Aflac. While her careers kept her too busy to pursue her passion, she has always loved art and now focuses her free time on oil paintings on canvas. She is thrilled to have studied with DFW artists, Dan Brown, Anna Rose Bain, and Walt Cude. Occasionally, she attends workshops for painting on porcelain and has done scrimshaw on ivory. She enjoys landscapes, florals, wildlife, still life scenes and is studying the art of portraits.Alice “Betsy” is married to W.J. “Stoney” Stone who is a retired Fort Worth Firefighter. They enjoy travelling together as much as possible. She is a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, the Portrait Society of America and enjoys volunteer work with different organizations.
